comparison of Vista 32bit & 64bit?

Can anyone tell me wat is the difference between 32 bit & 64 bit Vista in terms of performance? i have got HP Pavilion dv6730se with 1.6 core2duo processor. it has got Vista Home Premium edition 32 bit. is it advisable to convert to 64 bit version?

Does your processor support 64bit? Chances are it doesn't or the computer would have come with Vista 64b.

Will all of the driver problems i have had with x64, i would recommend you stick with x86, unless you have more then 4GB of RAM.

I just recently got x64 of Vista for my new PC. I installed it, and was quite happy... that was untill it came time to install Drivers.
At that point, all hell broke loose! 2 of my Hardware Drivers wouldnt even work, or didnt have x64 support, and my video card drivers have a defect that will make me reset the monitor settings after restart.
So, im thinking to myself "I have to get back to Vista x86!", but at the same time... i have 4GB of RAM, and i use VMWare, and alot of different software development compilers and projects all open at the same time, so RAM is essential.
But! One of the drivers that dosnt work... is unfortunately my Wireless PCI Card. Unbelievable.
So basically, it comes down to:
Choose x64, and gain performance speed (or so i have herd), but loose alot of driver support.
Or, go back to x86, and get full driver support (almost), but loose some speed (or so i have herd), and loose around 512MB of RAM (which is used for hell knows what).
