Guardian Camera Club: Chris Byrne's portfolio (6 pictures) (Guardian Unlimited)

A mixed bunch of images, 'Helen' is a stylish portrait with great post production, 'Tenticles' is funny, perfectly composed and a great photo. The portraits 'Lynn' and 'Laurent' are both interesting and well constructed, however 'rusky for amp' is just underwhelming.

There are for me only about 25 to 30 operas that as a theatre director I can bear to do – dramatically speaking, most are just kitsch rubbish. Musically wonderful, but often set in historical periods which bear no relation to anything in reality at all.
